Festivals
Experience Sumba’s mock battles in February, or the Balinese Galungan in January. Torajan funeral feasts are famously stylized affairs, but one must simply have lucky timing, as attendance cannot be guaranteed.
Weather
Indonesia is a tropical country with two distinct seasons. The dry season is late April or May to September, and is generally recommended as the best time to go.
