Why Water?
There is no life without water
One in every six people live in areas without access to clean
water, resulting in poor health and even death. Children are
especially vulnerable to the consequences of unsafe water. Common
symptoms from untreated water, such as diarrhea, often result in
death. Nine out of ten of those deaths could have been prevented
through clean water education and water filtration.
The United
Nations has determined that clean water improves both health and
population pressures: as infant mortality rates drop, women have
fewer children, and a cycle of education and prosperity replaces
disease and poverty.
